What is manfridaytour?

The competition is hosted most Fridays by members of Great Yarmouth & Caister Golf Club. We are not a club run swindle.

How does it work?

​

All of our competitions are stableford format. New tour members have their club handicap reduced by two shots. Winners of each event with any score have their tour handicap cut by two full shots and a further shot for each shot they are better that the course SSS, up to a maximum of five shots. Other players have their tour handicaps cut a full shot for each shot they are better than SSS, again up to a maximum of five shots. Tour members receive a shot back each time they fail to win an event or fail to better SSS until they reach their club handicap.

Order of merit points are awarded to the first three from each event; 300 points to the winner, 200 points to the runner up and 100 points to the tour member finishing in 3rd position.

Do I have to pay to be a tour member?

​

No. However, we have reached our limit of manageable tour members at this time and therefore it is closed to new entrants, sorry.

 

Do I have to pay to enter the events?

 

We do ask for a donation of £2.00 to enter each event. Half of the prize pot on the day goes to the winner with the other half contributing towards the OoM Charity Pot. At the end of the year the winner of the manfridaytour OoM gets to donate the OoM pot to the charity of their choice.
